 Dinners With a Purpose

What is “A Taste of Compassion?”

The idea is simple. We’re going to have a party! Bring your favorite food to share at a “Dinner with a Purpose” that is happening in your neighborhood*. The dinner host will provide beverages and place settings.

How will this help our community?

Let’s make a difference together! Bring a bag of non-perishable food. The items will be given to Interfaith Food Ministry, a local  non-profit that helps feed 500 families each month. If each  person brings 8 lbs of food, together we can fill one semi-truck trailer (40,000 lbs). This is enough to feed 320 families for one month!

Interfaith Food Ministry (http://www.interfaithfoodministry.org) was organized in April, 1987. It is a non-profit public service corporation, dedicated to providing supplemental food to hungry families in western Nevada County. IFM is a 100% volunteer operation.

*Note:  Each dinner party or gathering will vary – some hosts will do a dinner, some will do just dessert, or any number of other variations.  Be sure to get gathering details from a host in your area.  Just look for a sign like this:
